Church for The City was founded as Calvary Temple of Christ in July of 1993. The mission is to help people far from God experience life in Christ. Pastor Tyrone and Virginia love The City of Yuma and desire to connect people to Christ, the church and their divine purpose in life.

Pastor Tyrone and Virginia serve locally and globally, teaching, preaching and strengthening leaders and pastors. Pastor Tyrone is part of The Apostolic Leadership Team (ALT) of Ministry Fellowship International (MFI that oversees church leaders worldwide). His teaching and leadership gifting has produced church plants, leadership schools and global missions throughout The Kingdom of God however, their greatest passion is the local church.

Pastor Tyrone and Virginia have eight children. Jermaine, Liana (Alex), Tyrone (Karina), Eli (Laura), Obed (Natalie), and Tecia reside in Yuma. Tiffany in Scottsdale, AZ; and Malachi in Phoenix, AZ; they are also blessed with nine grandchildren.
